Financial Fitness Challenge 2012 Contest Rules
1. Eligibility. To be eligible to win, you must
1) be at least 18 years of age;
2) be a member, staff member, or eligible for membership in a Home & Family
Finance® Resource Center subscribing credit union;
3) register for the Financial Fitness Challenge on a subscribing credit union's
Web site; and
4) not be employed by Credit Union National Association, Inc. ("CUNA") or any of its
affiliated state leagues.
2. Entry Period.
Contest begins January 1, 2012, and ends December 31, 2012, ("Entry Period"). Five winners will
be randomly drawn each calendar month of the Entry Period from that month's registrants.
3. How to Enter.
Register for the Financial Fitness Challenge on a subscribing credit union's Web site.
Each time you sign in to the Financial Fitness Challenge registration page, a contest
entry will be submitted; you can only win once in 2012. One entry per month will be recognized
for the drawing. You must provide your name, email, and street addresses during registration.
4. Prizes. We will award five $50 Visa
gift cards each month. Winners will be randomly drawn by computer from the month's
Financial Fitness Challenge registrants. Winners must claim prizes within 60 days of emailed
prize notification. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
5. General Terms and Conditions. By participating, you certify that you meet
the requirements in the Eligibility section above and agree to be bound by these Contest Rules,
which shall be final and binding in all respects.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. No purchase necessary to
win. Void where prohibited by law.
All federal, state, and local taxes and fees on prizes are the sole responsibility of the
prize winners. Return of any prize and/or prize notification as undeliverable or failure of any
entrant to comply with any of the Contest Rules will result in disqualification.
Except in Tennessee, by accepting a prize you give CUNA permission to share your name, city,
and state of residence with your subscribing credit union, and give CUNA and your subscribing
credit union permission to use such information online, in print, and any other media in
connection with the Contest without additional compensation unless prohibited by law. Winners in
Tennessee will be required to complete a separate release before prizes will be awarded.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE
OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE
MADE, CUNA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM THE RESPONSIBLE PARTY TO THE FULLEST EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW.
6. Limitation of Liability & Release. By entering, you release and hold
harmless CUNA, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all
liability for claims of any kind arising from or in connection with the Contest or any prize
won. CUNA is not responsible for inaccurate information, whether caused by Web site users,
equipment, programming, technical or human errors which may occur in the processing of
submissions in the Contest, or for any theft, alteration, destructions, or unauthorized access
to entries. CUNA is not responsible for problems or technical malfunction of communication
networks or lines, computer systems, servers, providers, equipment, software, failure of email
for any reason, or for injury or damage to participants or to any other person's computer
related to participating in this Contest.
If, for any reason, the Contest is not able to be completed as planned because of
circumstances beyond CUNA's control which corrupt or affect the administration, security,
integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, CUNA reserves the right at its sole discretion to
cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Contest.
7. Sponsor.
The sponsor of this contest is the Credit Union National Association, Inc., 5710 Mineral Point
