How Does Your Credit Union Look Out for Your Best Financial Interest?

In late 2008 and through 2009, credit unions across the U.S. will be celebrating a wonderful milestone: No matter how old your credit union is, you and all members are the beneficiaries of 100 years of credit union service to members. We'll celebrate this major achievement and look at ways that credit unions continue to evolve to help members make the most of their money in an article early in 2009.

"Credit unions were a groundbreaking concept-and continue to shake the earth today with outstanding service to consumers," says Mark Wolff, Credit Union National Association senior vice president, communications. "For 100 years, people have shown how-working cooperatively-they can pool their resources to help one another and take control of their own financial futures. Today, credit unions remain true to their original mission while pursuing innovations that will help us keep pace with the 21st century needs of our members."

We want to hear how your credit union looks out for your best financial interest. Tell us your experience-today or one from the past-and we may use your account to help develop the article. Of course, we will protect your privacy. Submit your response here by Oct. 6, 2008.

Please include only your first name and the state where you live. If it's OK for us to follow up by e-mail to learn more about your experience, provide your e-mail address. We will use it for no purpose other than to develop the article.
