Is it still possible to purchase a 2008 model year Tesla Roadster?
No. At this point, we have filled reservations for all available 2008 Tesla Roadsters. If you are interested in buying a car, you may reserve a 2009 Roadster.
If I reserve a Roadster, when can I expect to receive a car?
Delivery dates for the 2009 Roadster, available exclusively in the United States, are estimated at 15 months from your confirmed reservation date. For our Signature Edition, available exclusively in Europe, deliveries will begin Spring 2009.
How much will I pay for the car?
The 2009 Roadster available to US residents has an estimated base price of $109,000. The Signature Edition 2009 Roadster available to European residents has a estimated fully loaded price of 99,000 Euros.
Where can I see the car?
We periodically host off-site events where the public can see the car and meet Tesla Motors staff. Visit the Events page to locate activities we have scheduled in your area.
How can I test drive the car?
All available prototype cars are being used for final safety and durability testing, so we are not offering test drives to the public at this time. Can I purchase a Tesla Roadster if I live outside of California?
The 2009 Roadster is exclusively available to customers who reside in any 50 of the United States. Our 2009 Signature Edition is exclusively available to residents of Europe.
Is the Tesla Roadster available for sale outside of the United States?
Is the membership fee refundable?
The membership fee is fully refundable up to the day that you confirm your option selections, which is three months prior to the production of your Tesla Roadster.
